Winter is coming, or maybe it's already here, and I'm excited.
I only learned to ski as an adult, but it's a must-do in Colorado, and it's turned into such a fun family activity. Both of my kids started as three year olds, just riding down the slopes between my legs. They'd wear a backpack and if their skis got squirrely, I'd lift them just under their shoulders until they could straighten them back out. My oldest can keep up on any green beginner slope now and on some of the blue intermediate runs (and all of the blues back east!), and my youngest will hopefully make a big leap up this year.
I'm not sure who's more tired after a ski day, me or them, but if we're staying in the mountains, I hope we have down pillows and down comforters. Not synthetic down, but down down. Down is a natural insulator, nature's best insulation. Down creates clusters, or tiny air pockets, that trap warm air and body heat. Just like you see on down parkas - in winter, for warmth - down pillows and down comforters can work the same way. And that's awesome for winter whether you're in Alaska, a Colorado ski cabin, or a chilly winter night in the city.
Queen Anne's French goose down is all ethically sourced, purchased from Responsible Down Standard compliant suppliers. It's the same places that leading outdoor brands get their down.
Sounds perfect for winter.
