We can talk about pillows all day. In fact, we do talk about pillows all day. There’s a pillow for back sleepers and a most likely to succeed for side sleepers but at the end of the day, you’re more than a one size fits all to us. We literally and figuratively want to support your dreams. Our ‘why’ is more than just a better night's sleep, it’s better dreams.

With that in mind, this space right here has the opportunity to become more of a place to daydream. To take stock of those waking moments and rituals that keep us lively through the day and settle us contently to sleep at night. To reflect on what we’re learning and experiencing from the world around us.

Here’s a story. A close friend of ours just moved states and began a new career. On the brink of 30 she decided that the best course of action in our new world was to make the most unaverage decision about life, compared to the people around her. There’s no rule book for moments like this. It’s a choose your own adventure scenario. So, witnessing the journey has been pretty expansive.

Every Tuesday she goes to the Farmers Market. This is a non-negotiable part of her week. It’s a moment she gets to spend with a good friend and her young son who loves to choose the lemons and avocados to bring home. He gathers strawberries into a blue basket and always, always gets a blueberry chocolate chip muffin. The ocean breeze and California sunshine doesn't hurt either.

There are nearly 50 vendors and each have something so distinct and special to offer. There are the classics like bountiful seasonal greens, artisan honeys and jams, freshly baked bread and some outliers like the most divine kefir yogurt and another stand with fresh Arepas. In an effort to immerse herself in this new community, she makes a point to purchase something and get to know one new vendor a week, plus her regular grabs.

Each company has their own origin story and it’s always more than just creating something because they like it. There’s a trend that becomes clear. Folks from all over offer what they have because they believe in it, yes, but also because they believe in the inherent impact of their offering. They’re selling a feeling, a day with new eyes, the potential friendship that can come from bringing a farmers market vegetable salad to a potluck dinner.  A good night's sleep, and great dreams.

We all want to provide something that has a magnitude of meaning to the people around us. This may sound cliché but it’s actually really important as a reminder that we’re all in this thing together. Wanting to be seen, heard, recognized. We all want shared experiences and to wake up each day and do something we’re stoked about.

It’s impossible to have unaverage outcomes by making average decisions. We want to hear from you, too! What adventures are you dreaming up? So, come put your head on our shoulder, and on our pillows, and tell us about your day.
